Daniel is a sweet 12-year-old from Woodmere, New York, who has a passion for singing and sports, particularly hockey and soccer.
In 2021, Daniel received the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. Throughout his illness, Chai Lifeline was a constant source of support for Daniel and his family. From delivering meals to the hospital and their home to providing Daniel with special Shabbatons and an unforgettable trip to Orlando, Chai Lifeline was there for them every step of the way. Chai Lifeline also gifted the family with various toys and presents, and even arranged for Daniel's younger brother Doron to participate in the i-Shine afterschool program.
Chai Lifeline's impact didn't stop there. They connected Daniel with his "Big Brothers," Sammy and Aharon, who mentored him throughout the school year and kept him entertained during the summer at Camp Simcha.
Thanks to months of treatment and a bone marrow transplant from his little brother Doron, Daniel is now doing much better.
“My hero is my little brother for saving my life,” says Daniel.
