As a young child, Moishe, from Monsey, New York, found his calling: he was going to be a singer and put smiles on people’s faces. Moishe's big break came through Achim B'Yachad, Chai Lifeline's division for children and families in the Chassidic community. The organization had provided support for Moishe and his family through special events, its Big Brother and Big Sister program, Camp Simcha Special, and respite volunteer network, which was how he met Volvy.
"When I was in the hospital for three months, there was an Achim B'Yachad volunteer named Volvy who would come to visit me every day,” recalled Moishe. “He would learn Torah with me and help me catch up with my school work so I wouldn't fall behind. He was amazing."
The two remained close and when Volvy got married, Moishe sang publicly at his wedding for the very first time. Moishe’s performance lit up the crowd.
Today, Moishe, 13, continues to sing and inspire. He has hundreds of followers on Instagram and has performed with well-known Jewish recording artists, including Benny Friedman, Mordechai Shapiro and Avraham Fried.
