From hospital stays to home care, Chai Lifeline volunteers have been there every step of the way. A memorable moment came when volunteers threw a surprise cotton candy party, lifting Mikayla's spirits during a difficult time.
A highlight of Mikayla's journey was cutting the ribbon at Chai Lifeline’s annual fundraising cycling event, Bike4Chai, symbolizing her strength and the community's support. Moreover, her nine summers at Camp Simcha have been transformative. "Camp Simcha made me feel important and special beyond words," Mikayla reflects. "Being with other children with cancer and in wheelchairs gave me an invaluable sense of normalcy and friendship."
