16-year-old Zack from Los Angeles, California, is an avid hockey fan and loves rooting for his hometown Kings.
In 2018, he was diagnosed with stage three renal cell carcinoma and introduced to Chai Lifeline, when a case manager reached out and offered support services to Zach and his family.
Since then, Zach has participated in numerous Chai Lifeline programs and events, including a memorable trip to Israel with Wish at the Wall and summers at Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline’s overnight camp for children with cancer and other blood disorders. “Having other people with me from around the world facing the same challenges is really comforting and supporting.”
Zach’s journey has taught him to cherish the small things and not take things for granted. “You always got to appreciate what you have.”
