Chai Lifeline provides a comprehensive network of hospital-based services for families whose children receive care at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In close collaboration with CHOP’s clinical teams, our staff offers hands-on case management to help families navigate treatment plans, understand medical information, and make informed decisions.
To support families during extended hospital stays, Chai Lifeline maintains a fully stocked Bikur Cholim room at CHOP, known as the Kosher Pantry, offering fresh food, snacks, and meals around the clock. When overnight accommodations are needed, families may utilize our nearby Bikur Cholim apartment near CHOP, the Chai House, providing comfort and a sense of home.
Chai Lifeline operates a dedicated shuttle service between Lakewood and CHOP’s Main Campus and Buerger Center for appointments and hospital visits. Additional support includes transportation coordination, volunteer respite visits, emotional guidance, advocacy during medical discussions, and ongoing communication. From admission through follow-up care, Chai Lifeline remains a constant source of compassionate support.
