About

i-Shine is a unique after-school program for children living with illness or loss in their homes. It’s an environment filled with laughter, learning, and friendship where children who feel challenged in other circumstances have the opportunity to truly shine.

On-site supervision is provided by parents, teachers, high school volunteers, social workers and psychologists. Young adult volunteers provide mentoring, homework assistance and supervised games, sporting activities, arts and crafts and other age-appropriate programs that encourage interaction and friendship. Transportation is provided from local yeshivot to the i-Shine facility and then to the child’s home.

i-Shine is available free of charge to elementary and middle school children whose lives have been impacted by the illness or loss of a sibling or parent.
