Legacy of Hope Gala: A Star-Studded Night To Remember

Celebrating 13 years of bringing smiles and joy to seriously ill children and their families, the West Coast region of Chai Lifeline held its Legacy of Hope Gala on January 16. Fabulous lighting converted the brick walls of The Bookbindery into a rich sea of color as 460 Chai Lifeline supporters joined to pay tribute to our three honorees: The Honorable Lisa Korbatov, Beverly Hills School Board member, who received the Legacy of Hope Award; Guest of Honor Stuart Manashil, CAA Motion picture literary agent; and Nir Seroussi, managing director at Sony Music Latin, who was presented with the Distinguished Service Award. Sam Rubin, entertainment reporter for the KTLA Morning News, served as the Master of Ceremonies. A highlight of the evening was a live performance by music legend and nine time Grammy Award winner Jose Feliciano who had the crowd dancing in their seats.

Many thanks to our Dinner Chairs, Robin and Elliot Broidy, Marilyn and Jaime Sohacheski, and Helena and Steven Usdan for ensuring the Gala’s tremendous success. Co-Chairs included Laura Aflalo, Steve Brown, Selma and Len Fisch, Shira Genauer, Chavi Hertz, Ruthie and Hillel Kellerman, Hana and Joseph Kornwasser, Anne and Lee Samson, and Janet and David Suber.

Thank you to our many supporters for making this evening so special and for helping us raise funds to truly make a difference in the live’s of our children. To see pictures of the event, please visit www.wcgala.org.
