Summertime raced by for kids 4 – 14 who took part in Summer Dayz 2016, Chai Lifeline
Southeast\'s expanded summer day program.
Summer Dayz began in the Chai Lifeline office as a way to bring Chai Lifeline\'s clients and their siblings together for fun and socializing during the summer. Thanks to a pace- setting grant from Ryan and Dini Shapiro, it grew into six weeks of full time play and adventure this year.
The expanded program moved to the Jewish Cooperative School in Hollywood. The new facility allowed Chai Lifeline to accommodate more children and offer more activities and programs. In addition to the usual camp fare of arts and crafts, sports, and games, campers were treated to pony rides, field trips, outings, and lots of special guests.
Summer Dayz ended August 4, and campers began the transition back to being students. They take with them experiences and friendships that make memories that will last a lifetime…or at least until next summer.
