This summer, I will bike 150 miles from the Jersey Shore to Camp Simcha, an extraordinary overnight camp that gives children with cancer a vacation from sickness that restores their spirits and renews their determination to fight illness.
The ride wont be easy, but neither is life for a child with cancer or other serious illness. Camp Simcha and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special, are the organizations flagship programs. Every year these two camps offer 430 children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. (To learn more about Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha special, visit www.campsimcha.org.) I will be biking to camp on Wednesday and Thursday Aug. 8rd & 9th. My objective is to raise $30,000 by then and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Camps Simcha and Simcha Special are especially important to Sara and me. Each of our four older kids has been involved with the camp so we know from their experiences what an amazing place it is. Even Meira, our 6 year old, has gotten into the act, donating 12 inches of her hair (twice!) to make wigs for children with cancer.
Please contribute by clicking on the donate button now.
Thank you for supporting me, and in doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment, and aftermath of serious pediatric illness.
Best regards, PS For more info about the bike ride please visit www.bike4chai.com
