Chai Lifeline Presents COVID-19 Lecture Series

Chai Lifeline presents “Going Through It, Growing Through It: Torah Perspectives and Mindful Coping in the Age of COVID-19,” a new lecture series offering divrei chizuk, psychological, and practical guidance during the current health crisis. The series will include video and audio recordings of renowned rabbanim, speakers, and mental health experts, as well as members of Chai Lifeline’s crisis intervention team, Project Chai. 

Episode 10: HaRav Ahron Lopiansky, Rosh HaYeshiva of the Yeshiva of Greater Washington – Tiferes Gedaliah, on preparing ourselves for communal and congregational life after COVID-19.

Episode 9: Rabbi Avrohom Union, M.A., Rabbinic Administrator of the Rabbinical Council of California (RCC), offers suggestions for men on setting personal and religious goals during these challenging times.

Episode 8: Dr. Harvey N. Kranzler, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, discusses ADD, ADHD, OCD, as well as other anxieties and mood disorders as they pertain to children during COVID-19.

Episode 7: Rabbi Avi Tenenbaum discusses the challenges and opportunities COVID-19 presents for Yeshiva students stuck at home. Rabbi Tenenbaum is an American-born psychotherapist living in Israel and an expert in Disaster Behavioral Health & Psychological First Aid. His experience includes providing aid for communities coping in the wake of large and small-scale disasters and war including the Second Lebanon War, Hurricane Harvey, Pittsburgh Tree-of-Life massacre, Haifa 2016 Fires, Operation Cast-Lead, and battling the effects of COVID-19 on the Jewish community. He trains First Responder and Mental Health organizations around the world to respond to Acute-Trauma events and maintains a private practice in Jerusalem.

Episode 6: Rivki Jungreis, LCSW, MS.E.d, presents a parenting toolbox to help anxious children in trying times. Jungreis is an adult, adolescent and child psychotherapist, an EMDR approved consultant, an EMDR child specialist, a sand play therapist, a self-regulation somatic therapist, and an IFS practitioner specializing in abuse and trauma.

Episode 5: Dr. S. Shalom Feinberg, associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center and founding board member of Nefesh International discusses “Stressed Out: How do I know it’s just too much?”

Episode 4: Lisa Twerski, LCSW, psychotherapist, co-founder of KESHER Marriage Education Course, and Member of Nefesh International Board of Directors, presents “Here for You: Coronavirus, Couples, and Coping.”

Episode 3: World-renowned speaker Dr. David Pelcovitz shares tactics for children and families for coping with anxiety.

Episode 2: Featuring noted educator and lecturer Mrs. Yael Kaisman and Project Chai Associate Director Zahava Farbman, MSW, PhD Candidate.

EPISODE 1: Featuring Rabbi Eytan Feiner, Rav of the White Shul and Morah D’Asra of Camp Simcha, and Rabbi Dr. Dovid Fox, Project Chai Director of Interventions and Community Education.
