Kashrus of GU Energy Gels – I see that the hechsher for GU gels is K-ORC. I’ve done a little research on this hechsher out of San Francisco by and it seems sketchy at best. The Mashgiach is a Rabbi named Rabbi Jacob Traub, in a post i found it claims he is quite elderly and frail. Many opinions i’ve seen in my research say it is unreliable and not recommended. Can anyone provide more detailed information as to the current kashrus status of GU Energy Gels?
i asked rabbi gissinger to find out
he said he will let me know
btw brielle cyclery sells hammer nutrition gel packs that have Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc in a triangle) hechsher (which is considered accepted)
though be aware that some are Dairy (which i assume cholov stam)
and some of their products are not certified or certified with other unknown hechsherim
