Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special Applications

Camp Simcha is open each summer for two sessions. For the summer of 2010, the girls’ session will be from Wednesday, August 11 to Wednesday, August 25, and the boys’ session will be from Wednesday, July 14 to Monday, July 26. Camp Simcha is open to all children age 6-21 diagnosed with malignancies or chronic hematological disorders. Preference is given to children on active treatment or post-treatment, as indicated. Preference is also given to children with disabilities resulting from treatments.

Camp Simcha Special is open each summer for two sessions. For the summer of 2010, the girls’ session will be from Sunday, June 27 to Monday, July 12 and the boys’ session will be from Wednesday, July 28 to Monday, August 9 . Camp Simcha is open to all children age 8-17 diagnosed with serious chronic illnesses. Approval from the child’s physician is required for acceptance.

Full medical and psychosocial information must be supplied by the child’s medical provider or treatment facility.
Applications are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All applications are kept strictly confidential, but are subject to review and approval by Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special staff
Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special are free of charge.
Transportation to and from camp is arranged and paid for by the camp. Arrangements will be confirmed prior to the beginning of the camp session.

NOTE: We receive a tremendous volume of applications each season, and invest considerable time and energy in making final selections. Please submit an application only if you are seriously interested in joining our staff.
